One thing I love about Bali is the value it gives your money. Our stay at the stylish and ecofriendly La Joy BiuBiu proved that a stay at a luxurious hotel doesn’t have to cost thousands of dollars.
Upon arrival, we were given a warm welcome by the friendly staff and a complementary healthy dragon fruit juice as a welcome drink. After confirming our reservation, the resort’s manager toured us around the whole facility and lastly to our eco lodge which definitely exceeded our expectation. All through out that short tour, my friend and I were speechless. We were so awed as every corner seems unreal and definitely instagram worthy!
As shown above is a lovely eco friendy cottage than can perfectly accommodate five people. The extra bed is located on the second floor. We found the bathroom really nice as the walls were made of stones. It gives you ‘Flinstones’ feel. You get me. Our bed was so comfortable I had a very hard time waking up early the next morning. It even comes with sheer curtains which was a romantic touch for couples. There was even an instance I got tangled up with the curtains while getting out of the bed. No I wasn’t trying to do some anti gravity yoga. Below is a photo of the door to the bathroom. Mermaid feels!
The resort has its own private beach. You just have to walk down the outdoor stairs which was pretty steep and go through a forest like pathway. Don’t be afraid to trip as there are a lot of branches to catch you plus it’s a very dramatic way to enter the private beach. Just kidding. Be careful.
We enjoyed beach bumming infront of the resort as we had the beach all to ourselves. Let’s get this done instagram.
Not your cup of tea? The resort’s infinity pool is as well a great place to spend some time and relax while watching the beautiful sunset! It’s actually our favorite spot in the resort. Lovely infinity pool + bintang beer + sunset + chit chat with my best friend…definitely one of the best ways to relax. The jaccuzzi overlooking the ocean was one of the ameneties my best friend and I were dying to try but it was fully booked. Make sure to have a reservation in advance and don’t forget to tag me on your photos!
It’s not everyday you get to stay on top of a cliff without breaking the bank. Not to mention, the stunnning ocean view. I would definitely recommend staying at this resort and spa when in Bali, especially if you prefer staying in Nusa Dua or Jimbaran area where the best surfing spot and seafood are located.
As always, to avoid any incovenience on checking in, I booked our stay at La Joya BiuBiu via Agoda.
Can you recommend any other beautiful resort in Bali? Would love to know about it!
