This hotel review is long overdue. But I have to get the words out there for people who are planning to attend the Middle East Electricity Exhibit this March 2019 in Dubai. #MEE2019
Or even if you’re just a tourist looking for a nice mid-range hotel in great location.
We were in Dubai to attend the Middle East Electricty Exhibit last 2018 wherein manufacturers of electrical supplies and equipment from around the world flock to Dubai to showcase their world-class products.
I booked Hilton Garden Inn thru Hotels.com after reading the fabulous reviews with average rating of 8.8/10. This 4-star hotel brand is part of the Hilton Group of Hotels. Located in Abu Baker Al Siddique Road, the hotel was conveniently located in Old Dubai. I knew I was going to love this hotel since part of our itinerary was to roam around Old Dubai and visit the colourful Spice & Gold Souk. Souk is the arabic translation of ‘market’. The hotel is located along the road so it’s very easy to find, the parking however is located at the back of the hotel. It had a contemporary interior with a touch of Arab design.
After a 9 hour drive from Saudi Arabia, the bed was a sight to behold. The 27 sqm King Room is bigger than most mid-range hotels in Dubai. It has a King sized bed and sofa bed which was perfect for the three of us. Upon entering the room, a wide corridor leads to the modern bathroom, turn left and there’s the full body mirror, and finally the spacious room that’s equipped with everything to make guests feel at home such as wardrobe cabinet, iron, entertainment console, hair dryer, mini bar, table and some refreshments ready for the guests.
Have I mentioned that the toiletries are by Peter Thomas Roth? As a girl who loves trying new beauty and skin care products, I was quite excited to try the toiletries most especially the body wash and hair products. Peter Thomas Roth is also available at Sephora. I heard some great reviews about their face masks!
“Not your ordinary 4* hotel”
The hotel has one restaurant located in front of the reception area. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. We invited some of our family friends who were residents of Dubai for dinner on our first night. We tried their dinner buffet which had a mix of American and Arab cuisine. I highly recommend including the breakfast when booking at Hilton Garden Inn Dubai. Their soft melt-in-your-mouth waffle is a must try! and one of the bests I’ve had. There’s always a queue in the waffle station every morning so I made sure to have breakfast earlier than usual. Gotta get ’em first!
“Their soft melt-in-your-mouth waffle is a must try!”
In case I find myself back in Dubai, Hilton Garden Inn Dubai Al Muraqabat will be on top of my choices given our excellent experience. I would also recommend this hotel without a doubt to families, friends, business travelers looking for a hotel with convenient location, value for money, great food, and of course, excellent customer service. Our experience had me signed up for Hilton Honours Rewards Program. I’ll be looking for that waffle around the world!
